Hi-Kote^® 2

A corrosion resistant solid film lubricant to reduce installation forces for interference fit fasteners.

Hi-Kote 2 is based on a similar phenolic resin coating as found in Hi-Kote 1, except that the aluminum additive is replaced with molybdenum based lubricant to act as solid film lubricant.  It maintains the excellent corrosion resistance, adhesion and chemical resistance of Hi-Kote 1 while adding it's lubricity properties to the product. 

Hi-Kote 2 can be applied to internally or externally threaded products, and is cured in a similar manner as Hi-Kote 1.  This gives rugged surface protection to the product, as well as good lubricity with a single solid film application.

Hi-Kote 2 conforms to the requirements of Hi-Shear Specification 292.
