Hi-Kote 4 

An evolution of Hi-Kote 1 offering consistently low insertion forces without the need for additional lubrication such as cetyl alcohol.

A next evolution in the Hi-Kote 1 product offering. Hi-Kote 4 has all the properties of Hi-Kote 1, but has added additional lubricity agents to the formulation.  These additives eliminate the need for a secondary lubricant coating, such as cetyl alcohol, to the surface of the fastener.  Hi-Kote 4 will allow fasteners to be used in high interference fit applications without the use of a secondary lubricant but result in equivalent installation forces.  This eliminates the variation of cetyl alcohol and is especially important in automation applications where cetyl alcohol 'powdering' causes problems with automatic feeding and fastening equipment.  All of the corrosion protection, adhesion, chemical resistance are the same or better than Hi-Kote 1.
