SPC plays an integral role in this focus on prevention. A fully computerized SPC system, the identification, measurement and control of Key characteristics and Key Process parameters coupled with dedicated focus teams constantly seeking improvement, result in "World Class" quality. Hi-Shear Corporation’s Advanced Quality System is based on SAE AS9100 and Boeing Document D6-82479, Appendix A, Addendum 1, and is approved by virtually every major aircraft builder in the world. In addition to supplying fasteners and fastening systems to American airframe companies and to the U.S. Government, our products are supplied throughout Europe, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South America, Australia, New Zealand, China and Japan. Hi-Shear fasteners are manufactured, tested and inspected in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration Technical Standard Order (TSO) C148 and as such are excluded from the 1999 Amended Fastener Quality Act P.L. 101-592. HI-SHEAR AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTORS There are two different levels of Hi-Shear Corporation Distributors. Hi-Shear Authorized Distributors which are subject to audits by Hi-Shear Quality Assurance and all others. Authorized Distributor: If approved following an initial on-site audit, Hi-Shear Quality Assurance requests Boeing to include that distributor in Boeing document D1-4426 which is utilized worldwide. Periodic on-site audits are conducted to ensure continued compliance. Others: Other Distributors which may or may not have mature Quality Systems, may make minimum or infrequent purchases or where territories may conflict with an Authorized Distributor.
